Garie Concepcion and Michael Pangilinan Announce They Are Expecting Their Second Child
Garie Concepcion and singer Michael Pangilinan are growing their family, as the couple revealed that they are expecting their second child together, with the baby due in 2027, INQUIRER.net reported.
Garie shared the news on Instagram on Saturday, October 31, in a post where Michael was also tagged. “Another beautiful reminder that God’s plans are always greater than ours. Our family is growing and our hearts are too,” she wrote. She added, “Our 2026 plot twist, blessing and miracle. 2027, we’re excited for you!”
According to PUSH ABS-CBN, the announcement showed a sonogram of the baby placed beside three stuffed toys and yellow flowers, along with a baby onesie printed with the words “little ANSWERED prayer.”
Congratulations quickly poured in from family and friends. Garie’s sister, actress KC Concepcion, commented, “So excited for you! Congratulations sis and Khel.” Another sister, Cloie Syquia-Skarne, also left a congratulatory message, Abante TNT noted.
The couple has kept much of their relationship away from the spotlight over the years. Michael, known as the “Harana Prince,” first publicly confirmed that he was dating Garie in a 2016 interview with Boy Abunda. In 2023, they announced that they were expecting their first child, and Garie gave birth to their daughter, Danielle Amari, that same year. Michael also has a son, Kiel, from his previous relationship with former GirlTrends member Erin Ocampo.
In a separate interview cited by PUSH, Garie said that what she appreciates most about Michael is his straightforward personality and the way he cares for her loved ones. “Pero kung meron man po akong na-appreciate talaga kay Michael is yung kung paano niya minahal yung pamilya ko. Sobrang malambing po siya,” she said.
Garie, whose real name is Maria Gabrielle, is the daughter of actor Gabby Concepcion and businesswoman Grace Ibuna.
For the couple, the new baby is more than a surprise. As Garie described it, it is a blessing, a miracle and an answered prayer, and their growing family is now counting down to welcoming the little one in 2027.
