Akyat-Bahay Suspect Nabbed for Breaking Into House in Quezon City
A 21-year-old Akyat-Bahay suspect was arrested after being caught on CCTV breaking into a residence in Barangay Bahay Toro, Quezon City.
On the afternoon of March 24, 2026, a man was caught on CCTV breaking into a house in Quezon City. The CCTV footage helped authorities quickly track down the suspect.
In the video, the man was seen climbing over the fence of the property before entering the building. He walked around the hallway, appearing to observe the area and look for an opportunity.

After a few moments, he approached an open window and used it to enter the room. Once inside, he took several valuable items and placed them in a green bag. Another CCTV clip later showed him calmly walking along the street while carrying the stolen belongings, eventually heading toward a bus stop.
The victim discovered the theft later that evening after returning home. The door was already open, and several items were missing. Among those taken were jewelry, a laptop, an iPad, and two watches, with a total value of more than P200,000.
Police immediately launched an investigation and reviewed CCTV footage in the area. With the help of a confidential informant, they were able to identify the suspect, who was found at a wake on the evening of March 26, 2026.
He was arrested on the spot, and some of the stolen items, including a necklace and cash, were recovered from him.
The suspect later admitted that he sold some of the stolen gadgets to a buy-and-sell shop in Caloocan. This led to the arrest of two women who were allegedly involved in receiving the stolen goods.
Authorities were able to recover several items, including jewelry, gadgets, and a watch. The suspect was found to have a previous record for theft and is now facing robbery charges, while the two women face charges for violating the Anti-Fencing Law.
