Former Sen. Antonio Trillanes Gives Message for Sen. Bato dela Rosa amid his Supposed “Hiding”
ANTONIO TRILLANES – The former Senator challenges Sen. Bato dela Rosa to join former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte under the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands if he really loves him.
For more than 10 months now, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte remains under the custody of the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands. Previously, it was reported that over 1,000 evidence were handed over by the prosecution to Duterte’s camp. The foreign court denied his appeal for an interim release.
Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is faced with three (3) counts of murder as alleged “crimes against humanity” filed by the ICC prosecution. Recently, the foreign court also opened a microsite to call for “direct witnesses” to the controversial war on drugs of the Duterte administration.
Amid the ICC detention of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla claimed that the ICC has allegedly released an arrest warrant against Sen. Bato dela Rosa. He was the first chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) during the tenure of Duterte.
Following the claim of the Ombudsman, Sen. Bato dela Rosa is no show in the Senate sessions until now. His camp claimed that he might only show up once the Supreme Court has clarified the jurisdiction of the ICC in the Philippines.
Sen. Bato dela Rosa skipped the Senate sessions since November 11, 2025. Recently, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV issued a challenge for the former PNP chief-turned-Senator amid his supposed hiding.
According to News5, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV dared Sen. Bato dela Rosa to join former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte under the custody of the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands if he really loves the former Chief Executive. He stressed that both Duterte and Dela Rosa led the drug war of the previous administration.
“Kung talagang mahal niya si tatay Digong, hindi ba sinasabi niya talagang mahal na mahal niya? Samahan niya roon,” Trillanes said based on the post.
Ahead of the next national election, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV also urged the Kakampink and the Marcos Jr. administration supporters to unite versus the Duterte family in the 2028 Elections.
