Sen. Bam Aquino Posts Video Clip w/ Naga Mayor Leni Robredo
BAM AQUINO – The Senator took to social media his entertaining birthday greeting for former Vice President and now Naga Mayor Leni Robredo.
After Vice Pres. Sara Duterte announced that she will run for the presidency in 2028, talks about her possible strongest contender started. Undeniably, Naga Mayor Leni Robredo is currently seen as the strongest presidential race rival that Duterte could have.
Ahead of the 2028 Elections, a survey even found that the gap between Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Naga Mayor Leni Robredo for the presidential race has tightened. Amid the speculations and questions, Robredo stressed that she does not want to think about the next polls.
The former Vice President stressed that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done in Naga and she has just started her mayoralty term. According to her, it will be a “disservice” to the people of Naga if she will talk about the 2028 elections now.
Robredo also stressed that she is not a politician who plans her political career. Following the announcement of Duterte, several other government officials were also asked about their reaction to it as well as their plans for the next national poll.
Sen. Bam Aquino who is part of the opposition was also asked about the 2028 Elections. He stressed that it is too early to talk about it and there are a lot of work to do. He stressed that he had just returned to the Senate.
Sen. Bam Aquino ranked second in the May 2025 polls. His victory brought joy to many of his colleagues in the opposition including former Vice President and now Naga Mayor Leni Robredo. Today, the Naga Mayor is celebrating her 61st birthday.
On social media, Sen. Bam Aquino is one of the government officials who posted a birthday greeting for Naga Mayor Leni Robredo. The Senator who spearheads the education initiatives of the government in the Senate took to social media a video clip with a caption that goes along with a popular music.
“Happy Birthday, Ma’am Leni! Sa’yo pa rin ang beat!” Aquino stated in his post.
Recently, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes spoke about his belief that Naga Mayor Leni Robredo must endorse either Sen. Bam Aquino or Sen. Risa Hontiveros for the presidency.
