Barangay Watchman Died After Being Attacked 3 Men in Cavite
A barangay watchman was killed after three men allegedly attacked and stabbed him along Coastal Road in Bacoor City, Cavite.
On Saturday, October 17, 2026, a 51-year-old barangay watchman was killed after three men allegedly stabbed him in Barangay Talaba 3, Bacoor City, Cavite.
According to Bacoor police chief PLt. Col. Alexie Desamito, the victim was responding to a report of a disturbance in the barangay. The commotion had reportedly ended quickly, but the watchman had already left to check the situation ahead of the other responding patrol officers.

The victim was unaware that the three men he encountered were allegedly involved in the earlier disturbance. Police said the group was armed and had been drinking when they met the watchman, who was using a flashlight while walking along the road.
The suspects allegedly mistook the victim for someone connected to the people they had argued with and stabbed him in the chest.
Closed-circuit television footage captured the attack, showing the victim running away before the suspects chased him. They reportedly left him lying in the middle of the road after he collapsed.
The watchman was rushed to a hospital but later died from his serious chest injury.
Other barangay watchmen and police officers saw the suspects fleeing and immediately chased them, leading to their arrest. Two of the suspects are 18 years old, while the alleged attacker is 21.
The 21-year-old suspect admitted to stabbing the victim, claiming he mistakenly thought the watchman was one of their opponents. Police recovered the knife allegedly used in the attack, along with several marijuana packets found in the group’s possession.
The three suspects are now detained and facing homicide charges and complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Although the victim’s family declined to speak to reporters, they made it clear that they would pursue the case against the suspects and would not withdraw their complaint.
