VP Sara Duterte Speaks Says Pres. Bongbong Marcos Should Focus in his Work
BONGBONG MARCOS – Vice President Sara Duterte took a swipe at the President anew claiming that he is allegedly not working.
It is no secret to the Filipino people that the President and the Vice President do not get along very well since 2024. It has become evident to the people when Vice Pres. Sara Duterte decided to step down from being the secretary of the Department of Education and left the Marcos Jr. Cabinet.

Duterte claimed that her design to resign from being the DepEd secretary includes both personal and work reasons then. According to her, she and Marcos Jr. were not really friends as it was Senator Imee Marcos who is close to her.
Amid the political issues and the gap between Pres. Bongbong Marcos and the Duterte family, his sister, Sen. Imee Marcos, aligned herself with the Dutertes. Sen. Imee Marcos even apologized to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte multiple times for convincing her to run alongside her brother in 2022.

In 2025, following the arrest and the transfer of custody of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Sen. Imee Marcos left the senatorial slate of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. She revealed that she is against the Marcos Jr. administration for supposedly surrendering the elder Duterte to the hands of the foreign entities.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte previously declared that she will run for president in 2028. One of those who were speculated as her possible running mate is Sen. Imee Marcos. The Vice President admitted that she has recruited someone last year but she will keep the person’s identity as the person has yet to decide.
Recently, while in The Hague, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte took swipe at Pres. Bongbong Marcos anew. Based on News5, the Vice President claimed that, allegedly, not all in the Marcos Jr. administration, especially Pres. Bongbong Marcos, really work.

“Hindi naman nagtatrabaho ‘yung buong administrasyon, lalung-lalo na ang Pangulo,” the Vice President said.
Based on the post, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte stressed Pres. Bongbong Marcos should not be running after those who are expressing their sentiments on social media. She stressed that the President should focus in his work.
“‘Pag ikaw, Pangulo ka na, hindi mo na iniisip kung anong sinasabi ng mga ordinaryong mamamayan. Hahabulin mo pa ba ‘yung mga nasa social media na naglalabas ng kanilang mga hinaing? Ang dapat na ginagawa mo, tinututukan mo iyong trabaho mo,” she said.
According to Vice Pres. Duterte, she already expects that the Philippine debt will allegedly balloon to P18.49 trillion. Also, she expects that the unemployment rate in March will reach 5.0%.
Amid the impeachment moves against her, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte recently claimed that she is really not after positions in the government.
