
MANILA — The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas projected on Wednesday that the country will post a current account deficit equal to 3.3% of GDP in 2025, with a balance of payments deficit of $6.9 billion, equivalent to 1.4% of GDP.
In 2026, the current account deficit is expected to narrow to 2.9% of GDP, while the balance of payments deficit is anticipated to be $3.4 billion, representing 0.6% of GDP.
