Cabatuan Police Rescue Students Who Were Playing Billiards Instead of Attending School
Cabatuan Municipal Police Station (MPS) rescued several young students who were found skipping classes to play billiards instead of attending school.
The activity was conducted under Oplan Sagip-Bata, an initiative that aims to protect children and promote their safety and well-being. It was carried out under the leadership of PCPT Mary Dhen M. Gerbolinga, officer-in-charge of the Cabatuan MPS.
During the operation, police officers found the students playing billiards during school hours. Instead of being inside their classrooms, the youngsters were spending their time at a billiards area, prompting authorities to step in and remind them about the importance of attending classes.

The initiative aims to keep children away from possible dangers while they are supposed to be in school. By reaching out to students who skip classes, authorities hope to encourage them to make better decisions and understand how their actions can affect their education and future.
The Cabatuan MPS also stressed the importance of working closely with parents, teachers, and community members to guide young people. Through Oplan Sagip-Bata, police officers continue to promote responsible guidance and ensure that children receive the care and protection they need.
Parents and guardians are also encouraged to monitor their children’s school attendance and daily activities. They are reminded to guide their children in making responsible choices and coordinate with school officials or authorities whenever necessary.

Skipping classes may seem like a simple decision, but it can affect a student’s learning and expose them to situations that could put their safety at risk.
Through programs like Oplan Sagip-Bata, authorities hope to remind young people that education plays an important role in building a better future.
