Gas Stations to Implement Oil Price Rollback This Week

FUEL PRICE UPDATE – The Department of Energy announced another oil price rollback starting Tuesday (August 11, 2026).

Filipino motorists will welcome another round of fuel price cuts as oil companies prepare to lower pump prices this week. The latest adjustment is expected to bring relief to drivers, commuters, and businesses that have been dealing with fluctuating fuel costs in recent months.

Based on announcements from major oil firms and the Department of Energy (DOE), gasoline prices will be reduced by P4.70 per liter, while diesel prices will go down by P4.30 per liter. Kerosene users will also benefit from a rollback of around P4.88 to P4.90 per liter. The new prices will take effect at 6:00 a.m. and will remain in place until August 17.

Several fuel companies, including Shell, Petro Gazz, and Seaoil, have already confirmed their respective price reductions. Other oil firms are also expected to implement similar adjustments.

The latest rollback applies to all gasoline grades, including RON 91, RON 95, and RON 97. For many vehicle owners, the reduction means lower transportation expenses and more savings on daily travel. Public transport operators and businesses that rely heavily on fuel may also benefit from the decrease.

Energy officials said the lower prices reflect recent developments in the global oil market. Concerns over fuel supply have eased in recent days, helping bring down international oil prices.

Industry observers also noted that hopes for improving relations between the United States and Iran have reduced fears of possible disruptions in the global energy market.

Another factor that helped lower local fuel prices is the stronger performance of the Philippine peso against the US dollar.
