U.S. Pres. Donald Trump Reacts To Pope Leo XIV Calling for Ceasefire over the Middle East War
DONALD TRUMP – The United States President responded to the call of Pope Leo XIV for ceasefire amid the war in the Middle East.
The war among the United States, Israel, and Iran is entering its fourth week now. It is not only affecting the countries involved but as well as several other nations. Many people also died due to the ongoing war in the Middle East.
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei died from the airstrikes of the United States and Israel against Iran. Many officials of the Iranian government as well as several civilians also died from the attack.
Previously, U.S. Pres. Donald Trump claimed that the war in the Middle East will be ended soon. The American President claimed that he attacked Iran to stop it from acquiring nuclear power and allegedly destroying the Middle East and the world.
Trump admitted that U.S. makes a lot of money amid the situation with its oil resources. However, according to the American President, what is more important to him as a leader was to be able to prevent the destruction of the world.
Iran claimed that it will make U.S. regret the “grave miscalculation” with the soaring costs of oil. Amid the warning of U.S. Pres. Donald Trump that it will attack Iran much harder if it blocks the global oil flow, an official from the Iranian government said the world must prepare for oil at $200 per barrel.
Several other countries are currently experiencing high costs of oil. Amid the ongoing Middle East war, Pope Leo XIV made a call to the countries involved as well as their leaders.
Pope Leo XIV called on the countries involved in the Middle East war for a ceasefire. The Supreme Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church called that dialogue be reopened.
“In the name of the Christians of the Middle East and of all women and men of goodwill, I appeal to those responsible for this conflict: Cease fire! Let the paths of dialogue be reopened,” the Pope said.
However, based on a post of News5, U.S. Pres. Donald Trump said they are “not looking” into a ceasefire. Meanwhile, he affirmed that he is open for a dialogue with Iran.
“You don’t do a ceasefire when you’re literally obliterating the other side,” the U.S. President said.
