The driver was praised online after he chose to be patient with the gasoline boy who exceeded the requested amount of fuel.
Recently, Jerwin Cortez, a Facebook user, shared a photo of what the gasoline attendant had filled into his vehicle at Petron Bulihan. The post quickly went viral on social media and drew reactions from the online community.
According to Cortez, he only asked for fuel worth P1,000. However, the gasoline boy accidentally continued filling the tank, going far beyond the requested amount.
Jerwin noticed that the attendant looked tired and overwhelmed, likely due to the number of customers being served at the time. Instead of getting upset, he chose to respond with patience. He allowed the attendant to continue and decided to pay for the full amount, which reached P3,000.
People admired how he handled the situation calmly and with empathy. For many, it was a reminder that workers, especially those in service jobs, can make honest mistakes, especially when they are under pressure.
Jerwin also encouraged others to be more mindful when getting fuel. He suggested that customers double-check the amount being pumped and gently remind attendants if something seems off.
