Amid FPRRD’s Continued ICC Detention, Duterte Family Doesn’t Share Sad News to Former President
DUTERTE FAMILY – Vice Pres. Sara Duterte admitted that they are thinking about the possibility that the former President might die inside ICC.
The House Committee on Justice has approved the report on the impeachment complaints against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. The decision of the panel came after the House committee found probable cause to impeach Vice Pres. Sara Duterte after four impeachment hearings were held.
The Vice President skipped all four impeachment hearings conducted by the House Justice panel. According to Atty. Michael Poa, the spokesperson of her legal team, the Vice President is not obliged to appear at the hearing.
Poa also stressed their camp’s eagerness to win the case and show the Filipino people that the Vice President is not corrupt. Amid their questions on the constitutionality of the House impeachment proceedings, they believe that the Senate is the “proper forum” to answer to the allegations.
The Duterte siblings immediately reacted to the impeachment moves of the House Justice panel. According to Davao Congressman Paolo Duterte, some chief of staff allegedly start receiving calls telling them to vote in favor of VP Sara’s impeachment.
“Tao ang gusto parusahan para lang sa desperate attempt nila na mawala ang kalaban sa pulitika. Anong kinakatakot ninyo?” the Davao Congressman said.
Currently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is in The Hague to visit former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Based on News5, the Vice President claimed that her father was not told about the impeachment complaints against her.
Based on the post, the Duterte siblings think about the possibility that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte might die inside the ICC detention facility. According to Vice Pres. Duterte, they only want good news for their father.
“Hindi ko binanggit sa kanya ang impeachments at hindi ko binanggit sa kanya ang mga nangyari sa House of Representatives… Hindi na niya kailangan malaman ang mga ganyan klase na bad news,” the Vice President said.
Furthermore, the Vice President stressed that it is not worthy for an 81-year-old to overthink about such matter. Previously, Kitty Duterte also spoke about Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
