Female Netizen Expresses Dismay After Police Allegedly Refused to Help Her
A female netizen expressed disappointment after she was allegedly refused help by police officers regarding her complaint.
Recently, Josalyn Lacanilao Taguinod, a Facebook user, shared her experience after reporting disturbances happening at their home to a police station. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions online.
According to Taguinod, their family had been experiencing harassment since January. Unknown individuals were allegedly throwing objects at the roof of their house repeatedly. The situation became more alarming when the motorcycle of her sibling was reportedly splashed with chemicals, causing damage to its paint.

Because they already reported the matter to their barangay twice without seeing any action or follow-up, the family decided to ask for help directly from the police station. They were hoping that at least one patrol officer could visit their area and check the situation for their safety.
Taguinod said they were able to speak properly with an investigator, but she became upset after another police officer allegedly responded to them in an insensitive manner. Instead of immediately addressing their concern, the officer reportedly gave a lecture about due process and later mentioned being busy with other matters.
Josalyn also shared that the officer allegedly brought up voting for barangay officials even though they already explained why they went directly to the police. According to her, they only wanted help because they felt unsafe and unheard.

The woman also expressed pain over how some responses they received allegedly included sarcasm and laughter while they were seriously reporting their concerns.
She explained that their family’s fear comes from painful past experiences, including losing a younger sibling and a child. For them, seeking help was not about causing drama but about protecting their loved ones and preventing another tragedy.
Despite the disappointing experience, she still thanked police officers who sincerely serve and protect the public.
