Former Employee Nabbed After Allegedly Robbing Employer’s Warehouse

A former employee was arrested after police caught him allegedly stealing inside employer’s warehouse in Sta. Ana, Manila.

A 27-year-old man was arrested after police caught him allegedly stealing inside a warehouse in Barangay 882, Sta. Ana, Manila.

Authorities said the suspect had been linked to several previous break-ins at the same warehouse. According to the warehouse owner, there had already been repeated incidents of theft inside the building over the past months.

On May 17, 2026, the CCTV footage taken showed the man hiding in a dark corner of the warehouse after the alarm system suddenly went off. Police said the suspect was familiar with the area and even knew how to disable the electricity and alarm system during his previous attempts.

Another CCTV recording from May 16 also captured the suspect outside the warehouse before the alleged robbery took place. Investigators said the footage helped them identify and monitor the man.

However, during the latest incident on Wednesday, police officers were able to catch the suspect in the act while he was allegedly trying to steal again from the warehouse. He was immediately arrested on site.

Authorities recovered a firearm loaded with ammunition from the suspect, along with several construction tools believed to have been taken from the warehouse.

Police officers handled the arrest carefully after learning that the suspect was carrying a gun. They made sure he could not harm anyone during the operation.

Investigators later discovered that the suspect was from Makati and had already served jail time before for theft-related cases.

During questioning, the man claimed that anger and frustration pushed him to commit the crime. He said he previously worked at the warehouse as a mason and allegedly was not paid for his work.

According to him, he needed money for food and later regretted what he had done. The suspect is now detained at the Sta. Ana Police Custodial Facility and is facing charges for robbery and violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
