Authorities Arrest Former Gas Station Supervisor Over P57 Million Theft
A former gas station supervisor was arrested after allegedly stealing around P57 million from the company where she once worked.
On Tuesday afternoon (March 30, 2026), the suspect was caught by operatives of the Manila Police District in Parañaque City, after months of tracking her down.
The arrest was made through a warrant issued by the Manila Regional Trial Court. The 35-year-old suspect is now facing multiple counts of qualified theft for the large amount of money reported missing from a gas station along Taft Avenue in Manila.
According to the company’s representative, the alleged scheme went on for about a year before it was discovered. The problem was discovered in March 2024 when the company’s accountant and auditor noticed unusual differences in the financial reports being submitted.
A closer review of the records showed that millions of pesos were missing. It was later found that the suspect had control over daily operations, including handling sales, managing the vault, and depositing the station’s daily earnings in the bank.
Reports revealed that the gas station earned around P800,000 a day. However, only about P200,000 was being deposited regularly. The remaining amount was allegedly taken by the suspect.
The former gas station supervisor was also accused of falsifying bank deposit slips to make it appear that the full amount had been deposited.
Authorities said the total losses reached P57 million from March 2024 to 2025. After a warrant of arrest was issued, the suspect reportedly went into hiding for nearly a year before being located and arrested.
She is now facing 60 counts of qualified theft, with a total bail set at over P2.8 million. The suspect chose not to give any statement regarding the allegations.
