Former Skin Clinic Manager Faces Charges After Stealing Over P3 Million from Company
A former skin clinic manager in Quezon City was accused of stealing over P3 million from the company over several years.
The issue was discovered in February 2026 when the clinic’s management noticed unusual transactions in their San Fernando City, Pampanga branch. One transaction raised suspicion after a client paid P25,000, but the company’s copy of the receipt only showed P5,000.
The difference led to a deeper review of records. As the investigation continued, it was found that payments from clients were being redirected to the former manager’s personal bank account.
Clients were reportedly given an account number that appeared to belong to the business owner, making them believe their payments were legitimate.
Further checks revealed that the scheme had been going on for years and may have affected other branches in Bulacan and Quezon City. Several clients also came forward, saying they had no proper records of their payments and only realized the issue recently.
The situation became even more troubling when the former manager allegedly asked for money from colleagues, claiming her child had passed away. It was discovered that the photo she used as proof was taken from the internet, and her child was actually alive.
The former manager went absent without official leave in February, prompting the clinic to file a case against her. Authorities later attempted to serve a subpoena at her home in Nueva Ecija, but she was not found there.
The clinic is now asking other possible victims to come forward. Meanwhile, authorities remind the public to always verify payment details and avoid sending money to personal accounts when dealing with businesses.
