Social Media Explodes After Alleged ‘Paldo’ Claim From Torre’s Wife
TORRE – A simple TikTok post quickly turned into a hot topic after a controversial reply allegedly came from the wife of General Nicolas Torre III.
Speculation has recently surrounded the wife of Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Nicolas Torre III, Patricia Jane Perbillo Torre, after her alleged comment about financially supporting her husband sparked widespread discussion online.
Torre, a former chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), currently serves as the general manager of the MMDA following his appointment by President Bongbong Marcos in 2025. While he remains a prominent public figure, it is now his wife who has drawn attention after a seemingly casual interaction on social media turned controversial.
The issue began when Patricia posted a TikTok video featuring her husband using his cellphone, accompanied by the song “Kumusta Ka” as background music. The video itself appeared harmless, but it quickly gained traction after a netizen left a bold comment questioning the situation.
The netizen wrote, “[G]inamit lng ” which caught the attention of viewers and prompted a response from Patricia herself. She allegedly replied, “At least paldo paldo,” a statement that fueled speculation and triggered mixed reactions among netizens.
When Balita reviewed Patricia’s TikTok account, the netizen’s original comment remained visible. However, Patricia’s alleged reply could no longer be found. According to several online users, the response had already been deleted, further intensifying the intrigue surrounding the issue.
As the situation unfolded, more netizens flocked to the comment section, with some criticizing Patricia over her supposed remark. Despite the backlash, she did not remain silent. Reports indicated that she actively engaged with critics, exchanging heated remarks with those who questioned her.
