Honest Tricycle Driver Expresses Desire to Return Lost Wallet to Owner
A tricycle driver in Puerto Princesa City is being praised for his honesty after making an effort to return a wallet he found along a national highway.
On Friday morning (August 14, 2026), Albert M. Lucero brought the wallet to a radio station hoping that it would be reunited with its rightful owner.
According to Lucero, he was traveling along the National Highway in Barangay Sicsican at around 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, when he noticed a wallet suddenly fall from a motorcycle passing through the area.
Realizing that the rider had likely not noticed the lost item, Lucero immediately tried to catch up with the motorcycle. He hoped to return the wallet right away before the owner became aware that it was missing.
Despite his efforts, the motorcycle rider had already traveled too far ahead, making it impossible for Lucero to catch up. Rather than keeping the wallet or leaving it behind, he decided to take it to a place where the owner would have a better chance of finding it.
Lucero then brought the wallet to the Brigada News station in Barangay San Pedro and asked for help in locating its owner.

The tricycle driver’s action quickly gained attention from local residents, many of whom praised his honesty and sense of responsibility. In a time when lost valuables are not always returned, many people appreciated his decision to do the right thing and make every effort to return the item.
The tricycle driver is now calling on the wallet’s owner to claim the lost property.
