United States Pres. Donald Trump who is one of those who decided to launch the attack against Iran claimed that his move was to stop the country from acquiring nuclear power. Amid his admission that U.S. makes a lot of money from oil, Trump said what is more important to him is that he was able to stop Iran from allegedly destroying the world.

Following the attack, Tehran made restrictions in the passage in the Strait of Hormuz — limiting the passage against enemies-linked vessels. The said restrictions that kept U.S. and Israel vessels out affected the global oil flow.
