Kiko Barzaga shared this post attacking PBBM
Cavite 4th District Rep. Kiko Barzaga had this “patutsada” against President Bongbong Marcos after surrendering to authorities on Monday night, April 13, due to the cyber libel case he’s currently facing.
Barzaga surrendered at around 7:00 p.m. with his lawyer, based on a report from the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station.
This was following an arrest warrant against him issued by Branch 147 of the Regional Trial Court in Makati City in connection with eight counts of cyber libel case, with bail set at P48,000 per case, based on the article in Balita.

It was stated in a police report that Barzaga is now under the custody of the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station for proper disposition. The accused was informed of his constitutional rights.
The congressman is currently facing eight counts of cyber libel under Section 4 (C) of Republic Act 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, after he claimed on his social media account that some congressmen allegedly accepted “bribes” in exchange for supporting then-House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
On January 9, 2026, Cong. Kiko Barzaga said that lawmakers who are members of the National Unity Party (NUP) allegedly accepted “bribes” from Enrique Razon in exchange for allegedly supporting Romualdez in the 2025 elections.
Razon’s camp filed a complaint against Barzaga with the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office for two counts of cyber libel on January 14.
After Razon filed the case, House Deputy Speaker Ronaldo Puno filed a new cyber libel case against Barzaga on January 20. In Puno’s explanation, he said that Barzaga’s malicious and clear intention was to damage the reputation of NUP without any basis.
Following Puno, Manila Rep. Rolando Valeriano also filed a cyber libel case against Barzaga in connection with his statement to the NUP congressmen. Valeriano said Barzaga has damaged and affected their organization because the number of people who read and saw his post has reached 16 million.

Following his surrender, Kiko Barzaga’s Facebook page shared a post attacking President Bongbong Marcos. The congressman said that the president was behind all of these.
“Pinakulong ako ni Marcos, pero lumalaban pa rin ako! Ang dami na niyang ninakaw galing sa flood control, masyado na niyang pinataas ang presyo ng gasolina, kailangan na natin siyang tanggalin bilang presidente!” the controversial lawmaker said.
