Lady Teacher Who Was Set to Get Married Dies in Road Accident in Calamba City
A 27-year-old lady teacher lost her life in a two-vehicle collision along JP Rizal Street in Barangay 6, Calamba City, Laguna.
On Sunday (February 22, 2026), the victim identified as Crislyn Paro, a resident of Dampa Street in Barangay Palingon, Calamba City was riding as a passenger on a motorcycle driven by 26-year-old Miguel Ocampo from Barangay Bucal when the incident happened.
Based on the initial investigation, the motorcycle collided with a white Toyota Wigo driven by 32-year-old Jebson Calderon from Barangay Looc. Authorities said the car suddenly crossed JP Rizal Street, which is a one-way road.

The unexpected move led to a strong impact between the two vehicles. Due to the force of the crash, Paro was thrown off the motorcycle and suffered a serious head injury. She was rushed to Pamana Hospital but was declared dead at around 6:45 a.m.
Ocampo, the motorcycle driver, sustained injuries and is still receiving treatment at a hospital. Police officers from the Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit arrested the driver of the Toyota Wigo shortly after the incident. He may face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
Family members of Paro are deeply saddened by her sudden passing. According to her cousin, the young teacher was supposed to get married in April this year. Her loved ones expressed gratitude to the police for their quick response and for taking action against the driver involved.

The driver of the car is now under police custody and will undergo an alcohol test as authorities prepare the appropriate charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, physical injuries, and damage to property to be filed against him.
Meanwhile, the administration of Liceo de Calamba, where the victim worked as a Grade 5 teacher, expressed their sympathy and condolences. Her friends and acquaintances also shared their grief over her passing.
