Rica Peralejo shared her thoughtst on recent statement from Mayor Leni Robredo
Former Vice President and incumbent Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo stated that she has no intention of running for a national position in the 2028 elections, which drew a response from celebrity content creator Rica Peralejo.
Rica is just one of the many celebrity supporters of the former VP. The former actress joined rallies and campaign events when Robredo ran for president in the 2022 elections. Rica is also known for being vocal about her political views and opinions.
As the 2028 national poll has been a hot topic, many supporters of Robredo have been urging her to run for president. Previously, Robredo already stressed that she just wanted to remain in Naga.
Recent calls for Robredo to run for president were done by her supporters. Once again, she reiterated when it comes to the 2028 elections, she was sure that she will not run for a national position.
With this, Rica Peralejo shared her reaction. The celebrity content creator said that she is happy about this, based on the article in Bandera.
“Sobrang saya kong madinig na hindi SYA tatakbo. This country doesn’t deserve her and this country won’t believe her anyway — so be it,” she said, adding that people should face the consequence of their choices.
Rica also said that she wanted Mayor Leni to enjoy her life and be present in the life of her children, while still helping as much as she can. Then, the former actress said that it seemed that she lost her faith in the famous line in Lupang Hinirang which stated “Ang mamatay nang dahil sa’yo.”
It is because she believes that one could only help those who wanted to be helped. “Pero kung ginagawa nya naman lahat para sya ay mamatay ay kaloka bakit naman idadamay pako char,” Rica Peralejo added.
