Naga Mayor Leni Robredo, Pres. Bongbong Marcos Set to Meet
LENI ROBREDO – The former Vice President and now Naga City Mayor spoke on the upcoming visit of Pres. Bongbong Marcos to her hometown.
Recently, it was confirmed by Malacañang that Marcos Jr. is set to meet former Vice President and now Naga Mayor Leni Robredo. According to the Palace, the President will inspect the flood control-related structures and rivers in Naga City.

The upcoming visit of Pres. Bongbong Marcos in Naga came after Vice Pres. Sara Duterte announced that she will run for president in 2028. Thus, the scheduled meeting of Marcos Jr. and Robredo is tainted with speculations and rumors that they might be discussing something about the next national polls.
As for the Palace, let us just wait for what will happen to the visit of Pres. Bongbong Marcos in Naga. Recently, former Vice President and now Naga Mayor Leni Robredo spoke on her upcoming meeting with the Chief Executive.

Marcos Jr. and Robredo were rivals during the 2022 presidential election. He and his running mate, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, won the national polls but they had a falling out some time in 2024.
According to News5, former Vice President and now Naga Mayor Leni Robredo claimed that the visit of Pres. Bongbong Marcos to Naga is a “big deal”. He is set to visit her hometown on February 21, 2026 for the Oplan Kontra Baha.

“Sobrang big deal na Presidente ang pupunta. Kasi ‘yung mga agency na makakatulong to make things happen, nakita niya with his own eyes kung ano ‘yung kailangan,” Robredo said.
\According to Mayor Leni, they will bring Pres. Marcos in a community in the city so he can really see what is needed there. Based on the post, she revealed that there are a lot of informal settlers in that area.
“Una, constricted doon ‘yung waterways, maraming informal settlers — gusto nating ipakita sa kaniya, para ‘yung awareness ba na may mga lugar pang ganito na kailangang asikasuhin,” the Naga Mayor said.
