Man Dies After Being Repeatedly Hit w/ Baseball Bat During Street Fight
A 26-year-old man lost his life after being repeatedly struck with a baseball bat during a violent street fight in San Andres Bukid, Manila.
On May 13, 2026, the violent incident was caught on CCTV, quickly spread online, and drew concern from many residents.
Based on the footage, the victim was seen running while being chased by the suspect. Moments later, the man fell to his knees as he was repeatedly hit with a baseball bat by one of his attackers.
Despite the painful blows, the victim still tried to stand up, but he was reportedly surrounded and attacked further by the suspect’s companions.
Several residents gathered around the area to watch the fight. After the incident, the victim was rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment. Unfortunately, he passed away later that evening due to severe head injuries caused by the attack.
Authorities from the Sta. Ana Police Station immediately conducted a follow-up operation just hours after the incident. One of the three suspects was successfully arrested, while the two others, including the man believed to have used the baseball bat, managed to escape and go into hiding.
According to the police investigation, the crime may have been driven by revenge. Investigators learned that the main suspect allegedly became angry after his sister was reportedly disrespected by the victim.
The suspects allegedly worked together to carry out the attack. Police also revealed that relatives of the remaining suspects are already communicating with them and convincing them to surrender peacefully.
The arrested suspect is now under police custody, while authorities have already identified the two other suspects involved in the killing. All of them are expected to face murder charges as the investigation continues.
