Wife & Son of Mike Defensor Dragged Into Human Trafficking Case

MIKE DEFENSOR – A major controversy has erupted involving Mike Defensor after charges were filed against his wife and son.

Charges have been formally filed against the wife and son of former Representative Mike Defensor in connection with an alleged human trafficking operation, according to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

NBI Director Melvin Matibag confirmed on Friday that the agency has initiated legal action against Julie Defensor and her son, Miguel Defensor. The charges were submitted on Thursday before the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office and involve alleged violations of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act. Several other individuals were also included in the complaint.

Based on the findings of the investigation, authorities discovered that the Defensor family allegedly owns the hotel where the reported exploitation took place. This detail became a key factor in filing the case, as it links the respondents to the location where the illegal activities were said to have occurred.

According to a report from Inquirer, the case originated from a recent NBI operation targeting a disco bar in Pasig City. During the raid, agents were able to rescue 54 women who were believed to be victims of trafficking. According to investigators, these women were allegedly forced to work under the guise of being “customer care assistants,” a role that reportedly involved sexual services offered to clients.

Authorities further revealed that customers were charged between PHP 10,000 and PHP 20,000 in exchange for these illicit services. The setup suggested an organized scheme designed to exploit vulnerable individuals for profit.

The NBI emphasized that the filing of charges is part of its ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and hold accountable those involved in such illegal activities. The agency continues to encourage victims and witnesses to come forward to aid in strengthening cases against perpetrators.

As the legal process moves forward, the respondents will be allowed to answer the allegations filed against them before the prosecutor’s office.
