Gas Stations to Impose Mixed Oil Price Adjustments Next Week
FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Various fuel firms in the country are set to implement mixed oil price adjustments starting next week.
Starting Tuesday (October 6, 2026), Filipino motorists may see another round of mixed fuel price adjustments next week as diesel prices are expected to go down while gasoline prices could move higher.
Based on industry estimates using the Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS), diesel pricesmay decrease by around P1.00 to P1.20 per liter. Gasoline, on the other hand, is projected to increase by about P1.80 to P2.00 per liter.

A separate forecast from Jetti Petroleum also points to a similar trend. The company expects gasoline prices to rise by approximately P1.50 to P1.80 per liter, while diesel could see a rollback of around P0.50 to P0.80 per liter.
Market developments abroad continue to influence local fuel prices. Diesel prices softened after G7 countries and their partners agreed to release emergency oil and diesel reserves over the next four months.
It helped ease concerns about possible supply shortages and reduced fears that the United States would impose restrictions on diesel exports.

However, gasoline prices remain under pressure due to limited global supply. Industry observers noted that fuel markets have remained volatile in recent days.
Although increased oil production from the Middle East helped improve supply conditions, concerns over stalled peace discussions between the United States and Iran, as well as fresh incidents in the Strait of Hormuz, continued to affect market sentiment.
Trading data from September 28 to 30 showed diesel prices falling by P1.55 per liter, while gasoline and kerosene posted slight increases of P0.29 and P0.03 per liter, respectively.
The projected adjustments follow the huge rollback implemented on September 29, when fuel companies cut diesel prices by more than P7.50 per liter and reduced gasoline and kerosene prices as well.
Fuel firms are expected to announce the official price adjustments on Monday, October 5, with the new prices taking effect the following day, October 6.
