Mother Plans to File Charges Against School Guard Accused of Beating Grade 8 Son
A mother is planning to file a complaint against a security guard at Iloilo City National High School for allegedly beating her Grade 8 son.
The student’s mother, identified as alias Inday, angry and hurt after the school guard allegedly punched and beat her Grade 8 son inside a classroom.
Inday questioned why the situation had to result in physical violence, especially when school personnel were expected to guide and discipline students properly. She believes the guard went too far in dealing with her son and wants him to be held accountable for his actions.

The mother also defended her child, saying he had no previous record of wrongdoing at school or in their barangay. She explained that although her son was already a teenager, the family continued to closely guide and supervise him to help him avoid negative influences.
Following the incident, the student underwent a medical examination to document his condition. Inday also went to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) office to seek assistance for her son and their family.
The mother said she was determined to pursue legal action against the security guard over the alleged assault. She wants the incident to be properly investigated and the appropriate steps taken to prevent similar situations from happening to other students.
The incident has raised concerns about how school personnel handle disciplinary situations, particularly when dealing with minors. While maintaining discipline is important in schools, concerns remain about the proper and safe ways to address student behavior.
Authorities and the school administration are expected to look into the incident and establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault.
