Her mother suddenly appeared, rushing toward the stage while still carrying her bags. She had just arrived from Hong Kong after working there for six long years without going home.
The mother, Edena Doc Dumrigue, chose to keep her return a secret. She wanted to surprise her daughter and make the day even more meaningful. She arrived at the airport just a day before the ceremony and traveled overnight to reach Agusan del Sur in time.
