Philippines farm and fisheries output drops 0.3% yr/yr in first quarter

— The Philippines’ agricultural and fisheries output fell 0.3% by value in the first quarter from a year earlier to P437.5 billion ($7.1 billion), the statistics agency said on Wednesday.

Crop output, which accounted for 55.7% of total farm production, contracted by 2.4% in value terms from a year earlier, the Philippine Statistics Authority said.
