 The Philippines posted a trade deficit PHTBAL=ECI of $5.97 billion in July, preliminary official data showed on Friday.

Imports PHIMP=ECI in July rose 19.8% to $14.12 billion from a year earlier, while exports PHEXP=ECI increased 10.8% to $8.15 billion, the Philippine Statistics Authority said.
