Robin Padilla and Alan Peter Cayetano received criticism anew
Senators Robin Padilla and Alan Peter Cayetano had a skit on Facebook that did not sit well with many netizens.
Padilla and Cayetano are known allies of former President Rodrigo Duterte and incumbent Vice President Sara Duterte. The Senators are also very vocal in sharing their thoughts on politics and social issues through their social media platforms.
Cayetano would have his regular FB Live, and for his critics, this is not something commendable because, for them, the Senator appeared to have become a vlogger already.

On Tuesday, October 21, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano had a short FB Live featuring Sen. Robin Padilla. They started the live stream with a skit.
Padilla was seen displaying his action star image, and as he approached the camera, he said, “If you’re looking for trouble, you came in the right place.”
Then, the camera was panned to Cayetano, and he asked, “Gulo ba ang hinahanap mo? Gulo? Or ikaw ba ang ginugulo?”
After that, Cayetano said, “Magandang magandang hapon, Facebook family. Pinapa-smile lang namin kayo ni brother Robin.” This clip was shared on Reddit, and netizens expressed their negative reactions.
They criticized the Senators for doing that “skit” as if the public were just a joke to them. A netizen even called the lawmakers “clowns.” Some netizens’ comments focused on the political affiliation of the two Senators. Here are some comments.

Meanwhile, Sen. Robin Padilla went viral last week as netizens talked about his different statements regarding his family’s origin. The actor-politician said that, over the years, his family has lived in various places.
He also denied in a previous statement that he had received a single centavo from China. It was because of his connection to Tapang at Malasakit Foundation.
