Sen. Robin Padilla answered the recent issue raised by netizens
Senator Robin Padilla gave a comprehensive explanation regarding the issue of his actual residence or permanent address.
Netizens were confused about where he truly lives because the locations he mentioned during the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte kept changing. He mentioned several places where he came from. With this, netizens asked what his real origin was or where he really came from.
The action star and senator posted his interview from a radio program yesterday, October 11, on his Facebook page, where he clarified the matter, based on the article in Bandera.

“Alam n’yo kasi ang Padilla, we are travelers from Spain tapos napunta ‘yan sa Pilipinas. Noong una, pumunta kami ng Maynila, nagkagulo sa Pangasinan. Hanggang sa napunta ‘yung mga Padilla sa Nueva Ecija hanggang sa napunta ng Bulacan,” he said.
His father ended up in Camarines Norte, and he studied in Baguio. Padilla’s mother and grandmother were from Abra. Because of this, the Senator admitted that he has indeed lived in various, scattered locations.
“Talagang ako po ay kalat. Hanggang Mindanao, hanggang Visayas, may Padilla,” the actor-politician.
With this, Sen. Robin Padilla said that he can really be called a “traveler”. “Ako po ay talagang kalat dito sa bayan natin. Kahit sa kasuluk-sulukan pong bundok, may nakausap kayo diyang katutubo, sasabihin po niyan, ‘tagarito si Robin Padilla,” he stressed.
According to Padilla’s IMDb profile, he was born in Daet, Camarines Norte, on November 23, 1969, to parents Casimero Roy Padilla Sr. and Lolita Eva Cariño.
He converted to Islam while incarcerated at the New Bilibid Prison in 1994, following his conviction for illegal possession of firearms. Upon his conversion, he was given the Islamic name “Abdul Aziz.”

It is worth noting that the public was previously confused by the various locations Sen. Robin Padilla cited regarding his place of origin and address. On August 12, during the impeachment proceedings involving VP Sara Duterte, the senator initially stated that he had studied at Saint Louis University in Baguio City.
Later, on October 6, also during Duterte’s impeachment proceedings, Padilla mentioned that his father was a native of Plaridel, Bulacan.
In the Certificate of Candidacy (COC) he filed when he ran for senator in 2021, it is stated that he is a resident and registered voter of Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte.
