Netizens criticized Sen. Robin Padilla because of this recent statement
Senator Robin Padilla said in a recent interview, that he was among the people who told Sen. Bato dela Rosa to hide.
Dela Rosa’s absence in the Senate was prompted by the warrant of arrest that was released against him, in line with his supposed involvement in alleged extra judicial killings during the drug war which the administration of former President Rodrigo Dutete implemented.
The Senator has the most number of absent days in the Senate Sessions. What enrage his critics more was that he continues receiving salary despite the fact that he was not able to fulfill his duties as a senator.

Last Sunday, along withe announcement the Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte is the new PDP-Laban president, the Reform Alliance for Good Governance and Accountability (RAGE) Coalition was formed.
In an interview on Kasangga Mo Ang Langit, hosted by veteran broadcaster Rey Langit, on April 15, Sen. Robin Padilla was asked about the RAGE Coalition. The senator said that this was initiated by Congressman Bebot Alvarez, including the group of Atty. Vic Rodriguez, who is the former Executive Secretary of President Bongbong Marcos.
Padilla explained that the coalition is a political movement, aiming to address corruption.
Then, the actor-turned-politician expressed that he and Sen. Bong Go are fully supporting Mayor Baste Duterte. Padilla added that it should be the three of them, including Sen. Bato dela Rosa, but they told him to hide for now.

“Kami ni Senador Bong Go nakasuporta kami kay Mayor Baste. Nagkataon lamang na si Senador Bato ay pinagtatago pa namin. Kami nagsabi na was muna siay lumabas, kaya wala siya doon,” Sen. Robin Padilla said. [timestamp: 15:33]
