Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Asked about PBBM amid Health Speculations
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President reacted shortly to the rumored illness of Pres. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
The health of Pres. Bongbong Marcos has been the center of speculations and rumors after he was diagnosed with diverticulitis in January. The said condition is described as inflammation in the small pouches in the colon. The President associated it with stress and aging.

Marcos Jr. was placed under a medical observation for a night then. He was brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center and immediately returned to the Palace after the medical observation.
According to the President, he was under a soft diet for a few days as advised by his doctor. He also praised the expertise of his doctors in treating him. He was advised to take a rest and to meet it halfway, he limited his engagements within the Palace for a few days.

Amid the speculations on the health of Pres. Bongbong Marcos, presidential sister and Senator Imee Marcos claimed that no one is allegedly taking care of the President in the Palace. She aligned herself with the Dutertes amid the political turmoil in the Philippine government.

Recently, several netizens threw speculations on the alleged weight loss of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. The speculations came amid the rumors that the Chief Executive is supposedly suffering from a terminal illness. Some rumors even say he allegedly has colon cancer.
Malacanang has assured multiple times that Marcos Jr. is fine. According to Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro, the President allegedly limits his food in-take as he does not want to experience the pain of diverticulitis again.
It is no secret to the Filipino people that there is an ongoing rift between Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Pres. Bongbong Marcos. The President was heavily-criticized over the arrest and the transfer of custody of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte was asked about the rumored illness of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on News5, the Vice President gave a short response during an interview with the media.
“Good luck sa kanya,” the Vice President said based on the report.
Currently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte leads the 2028 presidential race. She previously announced her decision to run for the next presidential bid amid the impeachment complaints filed against him.
