SENIOR CITIZEN – A senior citizen lost his life after a drinking session with a companion allegedly escalated into a violent confrontation.
A 60-year-old man died after he was allegedly punched by his drinking companion during a heated altercation in Masinloc, Zambales.
According to a police investigation, the victim and the suspect were reportedly having drinks together and enjoying each other’s company when their gathering suddenly turned tense. What started as a casual drinking session allegedly escalated into a heated argument between the two men.
Authorities said the situation worsened when the disagreement intensified. In the middle of the confrontation, the suspect allegedly threw a punch at the victim. The force of the blow reportedly caused the 60-year-old man to lose his balance.
Because of the impact, the victim fell to the ground and hit his head on a cemented road. Investigators said the severe head injury he sustained from the fall ultimately led to his death.
