Senior High School Student Listed as Top 1 Most Wanted person in Davao City Arrested
A senior high school student listed as the Top 1 Most Wanted person in Davao City was arrested by authorities over several serious charges involving a minor.
The suspect was taken into custody during an operation conducted by members of the Bunawan Police Station together with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and City Mobile Force personnel. The arrest happened at around 8 p.m. on May 6, 2026, in Purok 9 NSV, Barangay Ilang.
Police officers served a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 8 under the Eleventh Judicial Region. The student is facing three counts of qualified rape of a minor and two counts of acts of lasciviousness under Philippine law.
Authorities said the charges are considered serious offenses, especially because the victim involved is a minor. Because of this, the court did not recommend bail for the three rape charges. However, bail amounting to P180,000 was set for the two counts of acts of lasciviousness for temporary liberty related to those cases.
