Marcos Jr. Previously Brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center after Experiencing Discomfort

The St. Luke’s Medical Center released a statement on the alleged medical test results of President Bongbong Marcos circulating online.

After the Malacañang Palace confirmed that Marcos Jr. spent a night under medical observation for experiencing some discomfort, some alleged medical reports of the President circulated on social media. There are even rumors that the Chief Executive is allegedly set to undergo an operation.

Marcos Jr. previously personally announced that he was diagnosed with “diverticulitis”, a condition wherein there are inflammation or infection in the large intestine. The President associated it with stress and aging. He was brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City.

According to the Palace, the doctors of Pres. Bongbong Marcos advised him to slow down. However, the Chief Executive is vocal that there are a lot of work that needs to be done and he can’t really rest.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos was represented by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto and presidential son and Ilocos Norte Congressman Sandro Marcos in some events. According to Malacañang, the President limited his engagements inside the Palace amid the doctors’ advice for him to rest.

However, following the hospitalization of Marcos Jr., alleged medical test results of the President crossed the surface. St. Luke’s Medical Center recently issued a statement to deny the veracity of the medical report that is currently circulating online.

According to the well-known hospital, it is aware of the “medical results falsely circulating online and on social media claiming to pertain to President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr.” and these documents are FAKE and FALSIFIED”. It stressed that they uphold patient confidentiality and date privacy.

St. Luke’s Medical Center further stated in its statement that any medical report posted outside is unauthorized by the hospital. It stressed that it is a breach of data privacy and does not confirm to the policies of the hospital and the applicable laws.

St. Luke’s Medical Center calls on the public to be extra careful and responsible in sharing unofficial information and those that were not verified to be really true. Here’s the statement of the hospital:

Amid the curiousity of the public, Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro interviewed the President while taking a video of him. Pres. Bongbong Marcos assured that he is ‘OK’ now following his diverticulitis diagnosis.
