On the Naga stage, Vice Ganda tells the people to share Leni Robredo and echoes the calls of many Filipinos.

Among her avid supporters during her campaign was Vice Ganda, and based on a previous article, Vice is still rooting for Robredo to run again, reaffirming her support for the Naga mayor.

“Marami namang nagsabi na kung sila lang, hindi na sila tatakbo, pero dahil sa clamor at sa kagustuhan nilang makapagsilbi. Kasi ang desisyon ng pagtakbo at pagiging pangulo ay hindi naman desisyon para sa sarili. Kaya maraming tao ang naiiba ’yung desisyon nila kasi nare-realize nilang this is not just about me,” Vice said.

Recently, on the Naga stage, Vice was a special guest at an event on May 1, Labor Day, for the launch of Naga City’s new tourism brand, “Naga is the Heart.” The comedian was joined by the Naga mayor. Vice shared that he agreed to attend after just one text message.

In the same moment, Vice told Leni, “Maraming salamat ma’am Leni. Any time i-text niyo ako, anuman mangyari, pupuntahan at pupuntahan ko kayo. Masaya akong naririto, lahat ng panawagan niyo sa’min didinggin namin, sana dinggin mo rin ang panawagan namin.”

The audience erupted in cheers when Vice mentioned the growing calls for Leni—who has already ruled out another bid for a national position—to consider running for president again in 2028. The former vice president simply smiled at the remark, while the comedian encouraged the crowd to chant “Leni!” and make the “L” sign with their hands.

“Naga is the heart, you are our heart, you are our hope,” Vice told Leni, adding, “We need you to continue hoping for a wonderful future, not just for our families but for the entire Philippines, tama?! Dinggin niyo kami! Para niyo nang awa!”

The superstar added that he hopes others can feel the same sense of relief that people in Naga City experience under her leadership, pointing out that many parts of the country don’t share that feeling.

He highlighted how leadership with compassion brings comfort, courage, and hope. Vice then jokingly mentioned seeing her in a future campaign, prompting the crowd to chant her name and flash the “L” sign once more.

“Promise, magpapakalalaki ako, tumakbo ka lang uli! Charot lang, baka ‘di ko mapangako ‘yun,” Vice said.
