Here are the areas that announced Walang Pasok on August 20, 2026, due to the effects of the southwest monsoon (habagat).

WALANG PASOK AUGUST 20, 2026 – Several LGUs have announced class suspensions due to Habagat. Check the updated list of areas with no classes.

Due to the expected effects of the enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat, Malacañang has ordered government offices in Metro Manila and 17 provinces to use alternative work arrangements on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Along with this are class suspension announcements from several LGUs across the country.

Calabarzon
  • Laguna
    • Biñan City – face-to-face classes in all levels (public and private)
Central Luzon
  • Pampanga
    • Arayat – face-to-face classes in all levels (public and private)
    • Candaba – face-to-face classes in all levels (public and private)
    • Floridablanca – face-to-face classes in all levels (public and private)
    • Macabebe – face-to-face classes in all levels (public and private)
    • Mexico – all levels (public and private)
    • San Fernando City – face-to-face classes in all levels (public and private)
    • San Simon – face-to-face classes in all levels (public and private)
    • Santo Tomas – face-to-face classes in all levels (public and private)
Ilocos Region
  • Pangasinan
    • Aguilar – all levels (public and private)
    • Bani – face-to-face classes in all levels (public and private)
    • Basista – face-to-face classes for preschool to senior high school (public and private)
    • Mangaldan – face-to-face classes in all levels (public and private)

Based on the directive from the Palace, private companies can decide on their own whether to suspend work or adopt alternative work arrangements.

The directive was issued through Memorandum Circular No. 131 as authorities prepare for possible flooding and difficult travel conditions brought by the continued rains. The areas covered by the order are Metro Manila, Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Occidental Mindoro.
