Widow Robs STL Booth in Digos City Using Toy Gun
A 40-year-old widow was arrested after she allegedly carried out a robbery at a small town lottery or STL booth in Digos City, Davao del Sur.
On Monday afternoon (May 4, 2026), the incident quickly caught the attention of local residents after it was discovered that the suspect reportedly used a toy gun during the holdup.
According to the police, a 34-year-old male attendant was watching over the STL booth located along Lapu-Lapu Extension in Barangay Zone 3 when the suspect arrived pretending to be an ordinary customer.

After a few moments, she suddenly declared a holdup and showed what appeared to be a firearm.
Fearing for his safety, the attendant immediately handed over his cellphone to the suspect. However, the situation changed when the victim noticed that the weapon being used was only a toy gun. Realizing this, he fought back and tried to stop the suspect from escaping.
The two reportedly struggled with each other, causing a commotion in the area. The incident eventually led to the arrest of the woman after police officers arrived at the scene. Authorities immediately brought her to the Digos City Police Station for proper investigation and detention.
The suspect is now facing a robbery holdup case. Many people expressed their surprise that someone would attempt a robbery using a fake weapon. Others pointed out how dangerous the situation could still become despite the gun being fake, especially when fear and panic are involved.
