Kabankalan Barangay Hall Shocked After Tanod & Woman Caught in Controversial Situation
KABANKALAN – A barangay hall in Kabankalan City became the center of controversy after an unexpected incident shocked residents.
A female resident and a barangay tanod were caught in an alleged indecent situation inside the Barangay Hall of Tabugon in Kabankalan City, sparking concern among residents.
According to a report, the woman and the tanod were discovered without undergarments while inside the barangay hall, raising questions about proper conduct within a public government facility.
In an interview conducted by K5 News FM Kabankalan, the barangay captain explained that the woman involved had been allowed to temporarily stay at the barangay hall. The arrangement was made after she personally requested shelter, citing ongoing conflicts with her live-in partner.
The barangay captain further revealed that before going to the barangay hall, the woman had reportedly joined an outing with her partner’s family. However, tensions between her and her partner allegedly continued, prompting her to seek temporary refuge at the barangay hall.
The situation escalated the following morning when the woman’s mother-in-law went to the barangay hall to look for her. Upon arrival, she reportedly witnessed the woman in an inappropriate state together with the barangay tanod. The incident was then immediately reported to the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) for proper investigation.
Authorities have yet to release further details regarding possible charges or disciplinary actions against those involved. However, the incident has already drawn criticism from residents who expect barangay officials and personnel to uphold professionalism and maintain the dignity of public spaces.
Meanwhile, the barangay captain issued a public apology to the community, expressing disappointment over the incident. He emphasized that such behavior is not tolerated within the barangay hall and assured residents that appropriate measures would be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The case remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident and any accountability that may arise from it.
