Young Man Expresses Frustration After Receiving Wrong Shoes He Ordered From Facebook Marketplace

A young man was left disappointed after the pair of shoes he ordered through Facebook Marketplace arrived in a different color and brand.

On Wednesday afternoon, September 2, 2026, the 19-year-old man, identified as Alyas Bho, a resident of Purok 2, C. Laserna Street, went to the Kalibo Police Station to report the wrong shoes he received from an online seller.

According to Bho, he came across a reel posted by a Facebook page called Fourth & Kicks, which was promoting branded shoes in silver. Interested in buying a pair, he contacted the seller through Facebook on Friday, August 28, 2026.

The seller continued to provide updates while the order was being processed, which gave Bho confidence that his purchase was on the way.

However, when the parcel finally arrived, he was surprised to find a different pair of shoes inside. The item was not only a different color but also came from another brand. It also did not have spikes, making it unsuitable for the purpose he had in mind.

Bho had paid P1,450 for the shoes and planned to use them for basketball. He was supposed to play in an upcoming championship game, so he was hoping to have the new pair ready for the important match.

After receiving the parcel, Bho tried to contact the seller but was allegedly blocked on Facebook. This left him unable to ask about the wrong item or request a refund directly from the seller.

With no clear way to reach the seller, Bho decided to report the matter to the police and have the incident recorded. He is now hoping to recover the P1,450 he spent on the order.
