Actor-politician Arjo Atayde “never dealt with” controversial contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya, but this photo says otherwise.
Controversial contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya were present in the latest hearing, and in the same hearing, they named members of Congress and government engineers who allegedly demanded commissions from them.

Atayde, one of the names mentioned, “categorically denied” the allegations about him. He did not benefit from any contractor and expressed that he never dealt with them. However, after denying what he was accused of, a photo of him with Discaya couple emerged online, which raised a lot of eyebrows.
Atayde explained the photo, and according to him, it was taken in 2022 and highlighted that it wasn’t a planned meeting. The photo made rounds online, but for the actor-politician, it only happened once.
“It was a quick ‘hi, hello’ and picture-taking since it wasn’t a planned meeting. It was the first and last time I met with them,” he said, and added, “We never talked anything about any project. And I’ve never dealt with them.”
