Amid the public’s call for accountability, Pres. Bongbong Marcos ordered the agencies to back case with solid evidence against the flood control culprits to ensure conviction. According to him, he started the flood control investigation and he will bring it to conviction.

The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) previously stressed that progress is allegedly evident in the process of the flood control investigation and the government has started to get the loot from the corrupt individuals. According to Marcos Jr., more individuals who are guilty of flood control corruption will spend Christmas in jail.

Recently, Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. spoke on the supposed structural reforms initiated by his administration. Based on a report on GMA News, the Chief Executive expressed his hope that the next administrations will continue the structural reforms started under his lead.

“My hope and the reason the structural change is important is because kahit wala na ako rito, sana ‘yung mga pagbabagong nasimulan namin o na tumatakbo na, magtuloy-tuloy na para hindi na matanggal,” Marcos Jr. said.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos also believes that the said structural changes may get even better “if we choose our presidents well”. Based on the report, he stressed that the world now is different compared in the past and leaders now won’t do what past leaders in the 1970s and 1980s did.

Previously, amid the flood control mess, Pres. Bongbong Marcos stressed that the resignation of the government officials linked to the flood control corruption is “not enough”.
