Third-Gender Netizen Disappointed After Motorcycle Taxi Rider Canceled Booking
A third-gender netizen expressed disappointment after a motorcycle taxi rider canceled the booking.
Recently, Shan Maru, a Facebook user, shared the experience after a motorcycle taxi rider allegedly canceled the booking because of the passenger’s gender. The post immediately went viral on social media and gained reactions from the online community.
According to Shan, the booking was made through the motorcycle taxi service Maxim while traveling with a friend. Everything was reportedly normal at first until the rider allegedly sent a message saying he would not accept gay passengers before canceling the ride request.

The incident left the passenger hurt and disappointed. Shan said the experience felt insulting because the booking was allegedly rejected simply because of gender identity. The post also pointed out that no person should be denied transportation service because of who they are.
Many netizens who saw the viral post criticized the rider’s alleged behavior and called for respect and equal treatment for all passengers. Some also encouraged the passenger to report the incident directly to the company so proper action could be taken.
Others shared similar experiences online and stressed the importance of professionalism among public transport riders and drivers. Several commenters reminded service providers that all passengers deserve fair treatment regardless of gender, appearance, or personal identity.

The post also asked where the nearest company office could be found so the matter could be formally reported. As of now, the company has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident circulating on social media.

Here is the full post:
“Grabe, sobrang disappointing ng experience namin today.
Nag-book kami ng friend ko ng Maxim ride, tapos biglang nag-message yung rider ng “pass sa bakla” sabay cancel ng booking. Like, seriously? Dahil lang sa gender, icacancel mo na agad?
This kind of behavior is not okay. Walang dapat ma-deny ng service dahil lang sa kung sino sila. Nakakainsulto at nakaka-disappoint.
I hope this gets the attention of the company and proper action is taken. No one deserves to be treated like this. #Respect #StopDiscrimination
San po may malapit na opisina dito?”
