WALANG PASOK AUGUST 13, 2026 – Several local government units (LGUs) announced class suspensions due to inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon, or habagat.
According to the latest from PAGASA, several areas in the Philippines may experience rain and thunderstorms as the southwest monsoon, or habagat, continues to affect the country.
Metro Manila, parts of Luzon, and several provinces may have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, while moderate to at times heavy rainfall could trigger flash floods and landslides.
The rest of Luzon may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. On the other hand, Visayas and Mindanao are expected to have similar conditions due to localized thunderstorms, with possible flooding and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
