Male Employee Arrested After Installing Spy Camera Inside Bathroom of Company Where He Worked
A 32-year-old male employee was arrested after allegedly placing a hidden camera inside the bathroom of the company where he worked in Malate, Manila.
On August 25, 2026, a female worker noticed an unusual object while taking a shower in the workplace comfort room. The item appeared to be a pen-like object tucked behind the toilet tank.
The woman examined it after finishing her shower and discovered that it was actually a small recording device.
The employee immediately informed her co-workers about the discovery. Upon checking the device, they found that it contained a memory card. After looking into the device further, they learned that it appeared to be a miniature spy camera designed to secretly record videos.
When the contents of the memory card were reviewed, employees reportedly found footage showing victims inside the bathroom, including videos of individuals while they were undressed.
Authorities also found footage that allegedly showed the suspect placing the hidden camera inside the facility. The incident happened at a dental laboratory company along Leon Guinto Street in Barangay 724.
The victims sought help from local barangay officials and reported the matter to the police.
“Hindi po namin sigurado kung para sa sarili lang niya ‘yon o pwede niyang ikalat sa social media. Ang haba po ng video, simula pag simula naming maligo hanggang pagtapos po,” the victim said.
Officers from the Malate Police Station conducted a follow-up operation that led to the arrest of the suspect later that night. The recording device and memory card were confiscated and turned over for proper documentation and investigation.
According to the company management, the suspect had been working at the dental laboratory for less than a year. Co-workers and supervisors said they had not noticed any suspicious behavior from him before the incident.

The company employees described him as hardworking and active in church activities, making the allegations even more surprising to those who knew him.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Malate Police Station and is facing charges for violating the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009. Authorities also reminded the public to remain alert when using shared bathrooms and to report any suspicious objects or devices immediately.
