A concerned netizen warned the public to be careful after manhole cover falls into the drainage along the sidewalk in Poblacion, Kalibo.
Recently, Christopher Manalo, a Facebook user, shared a video and photos showing a manhole cover that had fallen into a drainage system in Kalibo. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions from the online community.
In the video uploaded on social media, the manhole cover can be seen missing after it apparently fell into the drainage below. The incident left a large open hole along the sidewalk, raising concerns about the safety of pedestrians using the area.
Because the opening is located near a pathway frequently used by residents and visitors, many feared that someone could accidentally step into it, especially at night or during bad weather when visibility is poor.

Recognizing the danger, Manalo took the initiative to place a temporary warning sign near the uncovered manhole. The marker was intended to alert passersby and help prevent possible injuries while waiting for the issue to be addressed by the proper authorities.
