Jealous Man Arrested for Pointing Gun at Another Man in Pasig City
A man was arrested in Pasig City after he was allegedly caught on CCTV pointing a gun at another man in Barangay Palatiw.
Authorities believe jealousy may have been the major factor in the gun-pointing incident, which quickly led to a police operation and the suspect’s arrest.
According to reports, the victim immediately sought help from barangay officials after the confrontation. The complaint prompted local authorities to review CCTV footage from MH Del Pilar Street, where the incident took place.

The video showed the suspect passing through the area on a motorcycle and appearing to observe the location where the victim lived. Barangay officials later learned that the man allegedly went home first to get a firearm before returning to the area.
Upon his return, he reportedly pointed the gun at the victim. After the confrontation, the suspect stayed in the area for several minutes before leaving. Around midnight, CCTV cameras again captured him returning to his residence with a female passenger on his motorcycle.
Once the complaint was received, barangay officials immediately went to the suspect’s home. However, he was not there at the time. When he returned later that night, officials attempted to contact him again, but he reportedly refused to come out of the house.
The following day, police launched an operation that led to his arrest around noon. During the operation, authorities recovered a .45-caliber handgun and around seven grams of suspected illegal drugs from the suspect.
Barangay officials said the victim and the suspect appeared to have a personal connection, and information gathered during the investigation pointed to jealousy as a possible motive. It was also discovered that the suspect had a previous record involving firearms.
The man is now under police custody and is facing charges for alleged violations of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the investigation continues.
