Angelu de Leon Pens Open Letter to Bobby Andrews as TGIS Love Team Reunites Onscreen

Angelu de Leon and Bobby Andrews, the former T.G.I.S. love team known as “Peachy and Wacks,” are set to share the screen again, and Angelu marked the moment with an open letter to her longtime partner on social media, ABS-CBN Entertainment reported. Both actors are now happily married to their respective partners.

In her post, Angelu said it has been almost three decades since they first shared the screen. “We were just kids then, figuring out the cameras, the lines, and life itself,” she wrote, adding that what she treasures most is the friendship that “grew up with us and stayed.” She tagged Netflix Philippines and the hashtag #PaskongPinoy.

Bobby answered with a message of his own. “Almost 30 years, and somehow the magic of Peachy and Wacks never really went away,” he wrote, describing their bond as “a genuine friendship built on memories, laughter, shared experiences.” He ended with, “Here’s to another chapter together!”

The reunion is part of Netflix’s “Paskong Pinoy,” a Christmas anthology series that is scheduled to start streaming on December 3, according to Rolling Stone Philippines. Angelu, Bobby, Polo Ravales and Rica Peralejo appear together in one episode, titled “The Last New Year in Boracay,” which Bobby described as a story about friends who grew up and aged together in their late 30s.

The series is directed by Mark Reyes, who also directed the original T.G.I.S. The same report said the late Red Sternberg, who died in 2025, remains part of the episode “somehow,” in the words of Reyes.

T.G.I.S., short for “Thank God It’s Sabado,” aired in the 1990s and made Peachy and Wacks one of the best-remembered teen tandems of that era. Fans have long asked for a reunion project, a clamor ABS-CBN said still exists more than 30 years later.

For viewers who grew up on the show, the exchange of letters suggests that the chemistry people remember was backed by a real friendship that lasted long after the cameras stopped.
